FORTIFIKASI YOGURT EKSTRAK DAUN BINAHONG (Anredera cordifolia (Ten).Steenis) SEBAGAI KANDIDAT TERAPI KOLITIS ULSERATIF PADA MENCIT YANG DI INDUKSI ASAM ASETAT 3 %

Ulcerative Colitis (UC) is a transmural inflammatory disorder that occurs
in the large intestine. The active substance of binahong leaf flavonoids is known to
have anti-inflammatory activity. An innovation that can be applied to exploit the
potential of binahong leaves is the fortification technique. Fortification is the
process of enriching food with the addition of micronutrients. The aim of this study
was to examine the anti-inflammatory effect of Yogurt Fortified of Binahong Leaf
Extract (YFBLE) against ulcerative colitis mice induced by 3% acetic acid, through
hispathological and behavioral analysis. Experimental research with posttest
design with control group. The study was conducted with various doses of YTEDB
with a concentration of 0.5 mg, 1 mg, 2 mg and a positive control of dexamethasone.

phytochemical analysis of binahong leaf extract (Anredera cordifolia) resulted in
the presence of flavonoid compounds, alkaloids, tannins and saponins in the
binahong leaf extract. The results of the yogurt analysis test include pH analysis
and acid titration with the results of a relatively small decrease while the results of
microbial analysis do not have other microbial contamination, proximate analysis
includes water content and ash content with relatively high water content and
normal ash content and for viscosity analysis the results are obtained. not good.
The conclusion of this study is that YTEDB has anti-inflammatory activity for
ulcerative colitis but it is less significant.
