TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN SWAMEDIKASI MASYARAKAT NELAYAN DAERAH CILACAP SELATAN

One of the habitual behaviors that are carried out when a person's or individual's health declines is to self-medicate without having to consult a doctor first, this self�healing effort is known as self-medication. to the selection and use of drugs. The characteristics of the people on the coast of Cilacap are unique. Cilacap Village, which is located in outh Cilacap District, has a population, most of whom are
fishermen. So this study was conducted to determine the level of self-medication knowledge in the fishing community of South Cilacap District using descriptive methods and cross sectional approaches. The research was conducted in three fishing areas, namely Sidakaya Village, Cilacap Village, and Tambakreja Village, which are located in South Cilacap District. And it was found that the level of knowledge of the fishing community in the South Cilacap area regarding health and self-medication is poor (58.4%) it is advisable to provide counseling, especially regarding health and self-medication to the fishing community in the South Cilacap area.
