Patients with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM) need self-efficacy so that patients have a commitment to selfcare
for diabetes. Self-efficacy can be increased through education about how to manage diabetes self-care and lifestyle changes, so that patients can control blood sugar levels. This study aims to analyze the relationship between self-efficacy and blood sugar control in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at UPTD Puskesmas Cilacap Tengah I. This study used a purposive sampling method with 50 respondents from prolanis patients at UPTD Puskesmas Cilacap Tengah
I. The measuring instrument used was in the form of questionnaire DMSES (Diabetes Management Self Efficacy Scale) and the value of blood sugar control from the results of laboratory tests. Data analysis used the Chi Square test which was used to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and blood sugar control in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at UPTD Puskesmas Cilacap Tengah I.
