Abstract

Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) are caused by viruses and bacteria. Drug Related Problems (DRPs) are problems that often occur or arise in the treatment of patients. This study aims to determine the pattern of treatment and potential drug interactions that occur in patients with acute respiratory infections (ARI). The method used in this study is a retrospective descriptive analysis. The population in this study were children aged 015 years.
This research was conducted ith a descriptive analysis that was carried out retrospectively. Data analysis as carried out descriptively by knowing the description of potential drug interactions using the Medscape and Drugs.com applications. The sample in this study amounted to 173 patients, who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria as
many as 72 patients. The results showed that drug interactions that occurred based on severity included minor interactions (53%), moderate (47%), and major (0%) meaning
that there was no major category of drug interactions, and based on the mechanism of action included pharmacokinetic interactions (83,33). %) and pharmacodynamics (16.67%).
