Abstract

Hypertension or high blood pressure is a risky disease and is a chronic disease whose treatment is lifelong. The World Health Organization (WHO) states that there are 50% -70% of patients who do not comply with prescribed antihypertensive
drugs. Drug information services are very important to improve patient compliance in taking drugs so that in the future it can increase the success of therapy in the
treatment of hypertension. The purpose of this study was to describe the relationship between drug information services and the level of compliance of hypertensive patients at the Cilacap Tengah I Public Health Center. This research
was a non-experimental type of research and a descriptive study. Data collection was carried out using a checklist sheet in accordance with Minister of Health Regulatin No.74 of 2016 and the Morisky Medication Adherence Scale (MMAS-8)
questionnaire. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The result of this study is that the Drug Information Service (PIO) at the Cilacap Tengah I Health
Center has been implemented but has not been maximized and is not in accordance with the Minister of Health Regulation No. 74 of 2016 concerning Pharmaceutical Service Standards in Health Centers. The level of compliance of hypertension
patients at the Cilacap Tengah I Public Health Center already has a good level of compliance, as indicated by the highest number of hypertension patients who have a high level of compliance, namely 54 people (54%). There is no relationship between drug information services and the level of compliance of hypertension patients at the Cilacap Tengah I Public Health Center, indicated by a significant value of 0.05, which is 0.907.
