UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN INFUSA DAUN NIPAH (Nypa fruticans wurmb) DALAM MENURUNKAN KADAR GULA DARAH PADA TIKUS JANTAN PUTIH WISTAR

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia and particularly concerning glucose metabolism in the body. This study was to determine whether the antioxidant content of nipah leaf infusion (Nypa fruticans) had the effect of lowering blood glucose levels. This study was an experimental study, where the test animals used were 25 male white rats which were divided into 5 groups and each group consisted of 5 mice. Group T1 was given 0.5% CMC, group T2 was given Glibenclamide Suspension, group T3 was given 5%.
nipa leaf infusion, group T4 was given 10% nipa leaf infusion, group T5 was given 2 ml of 20% nipa leaf infusion each. 30 minutes given glucose solution. Blood glucose levels of each group were measured every 15 minutes. It is known that the nipah leaf infusion fluid has the potential
as an antioxidant that can reduce blood sugar levels because based on the phytochemical screening test, the nipah leaf infusion fluid contains flavonoids and phenols. Based on the
analysis of the LSD test, nipah leaf infusion fluid with a concentration of 5% and a concentration of 20% had a value of p<0.5, this indicates that the liquid with a concentration of 5% and a concentration of 20% had a significant difference or a significant difference
between each treatment group.
